Good to know you did the same! And yea I'm sure no one did it nowadays thinking that they wanted to be owned by their spouse! But hopefully women don't feel pressured to do it just because it's a tradition if they don't think it's right for them! And your last point reminds me of someone I knew at work, definitely a hassle.
