Hi Jason, this is a layered topic and I spoke first as an Asian woman who obviously looked at this through the lens of that article I sent you so naturally I expected you would write with *much* more depth and acknowledgement of all the things surrounding it instead of treating it lightly as an age gap issue — it goes way beyond writing an article, it’s a real global problem. You seem to be aware that people don’t look at your situation positively so it’d be a great opportunity to shed light on what they don’t see (I’m shocked many other comments are so oblivious, it just shows how ignorant and privileged many are). I’m glad you found a home there and it works out for you personally but there are many cases that don’t go so well and perpetuate elitism, racism, abuse, etc. It’s not great.
