It's like you have an opinion and you find evidence to support this opinion with comments from one professor. How about those studies that support attachment theory in romantic relationship context, a simple search could see plenty e.g. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/1088868313501885 and many others. Your article tried to argue one point "Romantic love is a manifestation of childhood attachment theory" to be wrong, which does not translate to "Attachment theory has no implications for adult relationships." Sure there are other factors that matter, no one looks at attachment theory and says this is all there is to a person.
